Hopefully Cornelia and Catherina are killed in a freak easel accident. All right, maybe not. I'm sure that Pieter is supposed to be the 'love interest,' but I wouldn't be surprised if that took a while. It seems like he will be good friends with Griet first.
I def think Catherina will die in child birth, which will throw Griet into the stand-in mother role, she will do a heroic job of course, which may attract love interest from the painter himself. I think Pieter is significant, but I don't know how yet. His relationship with Griet will be completely one-sided at first, since she is so repulsed by his bloody apron. He will do something nice for her. Griet seems to be a heroine who will meet a tragic climax. I'm thinking some kind of situation that corners her into a decision, or a slow death by disease. Okay. I cannot figure out all the little girls' names! Help!
Heehee, this is so interesting to read your predictions. I cant input mine, because I already know the end:-) Maybe I'll write something crazy to throw everyone off;-)
Just going by the 50 pages I've read so far, I think the story is not going to get that complex. I do like that surrogate mother idea. It will be a nice surprise if slapping Cornelia came back to haunt her.
