  1. I finished this section yesterday. I relly enjoyed these:
The story of Richard Jenkins and his new name, Uitnese (Witness).
Ron Sellars and his wife had to live in 1 room with a cardboard bed.
Geoffery Jackson fell in the creek and had to were a robe, so ppl thought he was a pastor.
Page 115-116 about the friends with severe health problems.
The friends did such a good work when Cyclone Val hit...
The story of Lusi Lafaitele, the golfer. All his needs were met.
Valu Lotonuu had to walk 14 miles with her 6 kids to get to meetings.

  2. I also enjoyed reading about Samoan culture. They have a strict system for honoring elders and it is the most foul to point your uncovered feet at anyone. They also have a parallel language to use when talking about lofty or holy things.
I think these traditions are good because they keep in mind that some people and things are due great respect. That's something lacking in most Western societies. But at the same time, it would be difficult to live with so many rules. I believe that where there are rules, there are always exceptions.
